My take :
The only music I hear that is worth mentioning is about :05 - right at the top of the trailer. Otherwise we’re stuck with predictable blippity blippity 303 squelches and a Techno-Does-The-Heart-Good infomercial score mixed with remnants of the Matrix soundtrack.
It’s one thing to not offer a new and inspiring take on the classic Speed Racer theme (remix by Justice, anyone?), but to then toss in The Matrix?!!!??!!! I don’t get it.
James Bond films sometimes get this right.
Even The Addams Family and The Brady Bunch movies got it more right than this.
At the risk of coming off as some sort of whining Wachowski Fanboy, I was really hoping for something a bit more extraordinary in the music to match the ridiculously jaw-dropping visuals they always strive to create.
Was hoping for more. That’s all. Sure hope the soundtrack comes out stronger than this teaser campaign. [dh]

4/2/2008 -Aww, I thought the music was perfect for this trailer! I have watched it many times and can’t wait for the movie release. The visuals are incredible, and the newer trailers 3 & 4 really got rid of all the doubts I still had.
