Songs we love too much to ever see in a commercial (Redux)

After reading Dan’s amusing and insightful post about the songs he’d hate to see used in a commercial, I was struck with a sense of personal and professional jealousy. Why should he get to be the only one to pontificate on bastardized ad music? I have opinions on the subject too, and my fan(s) would never forgive me for passing up a golden opportunity to comment on yet another matter of trivial importance.

So here’s my list.

Jellyfish : Joining A Fan Club
A Tribe Called Quest : Award Tour
Archers Of Loaf : Web In Front
Architecture In Helsinki : The Owls Go
The Boy Least Likely : I’m Glad I Hitched My Apple Wagon To Your Star
The Beatles : You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)
Bell And Sebastian : Sleep The Clock Around
    The Decemberists : July, July!
Handsome Boy Modeling School : The Projects (P Jays)
Jon Brion : Knock Yourself Out
The Lemonheads : Dawn Can’t Decide
Neutral Milk Hotel : King Of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1
    Patrick Park : Honesty Skrew
    Old 97s : Oppenheimer
    Sigur Ros : Hoppipolla
    Sufjan Stevens : Chicago
    Tigercity : Are You Sensation?
    Tom Waits : Waltzing Matilda
The Zombies : This Will Be Our Year
Go West : King Of Wishful Thinking (Obviously)

The great irony, of course, is that all of these songs would be great in commercials. If you use one, give me credit. My credibility can be purchased dirt cheap. [ms]
